I started work with the Ministry Of Transport in Petone.
Kevin Hearfield 1969-95
Worked out of the Petone office. STO was Pat McGonigle, then Dave Stitt. Then moved to upper Hutt, then to Darfield in the South Island then moved again to Otorohanga in 1980.
When the merger came about with the Ministry of Transport/Police Department I then became a Policeman. I an now a Senior Constable at Otorohanga. After the merger of the Police and Traffic Department Ministry of Transport I became a sworn Policeman and retired on the 31stMay 2013
Trevor Pyper 1970-85
Started off at Training College for 2.5 years, then moved to Petone, then Lower Hutt, then Wellington
Mel Orange 1971-92
Started with the old LHCC Traffic in '71. Merged to MoT in '78. Transferred to Upper Hutt in '92 two weeks before police merger. Now with Highway Patrol Wellington

Ex Lower Hutt City Traffic to Ministry, transferred to Hawera rural. Rotorua Head of Traffic Division for Rotorua District Council. Now enjoying life in Picton driving Wine Tour Coaches for Sounds Connections. Good to see Trevors name on the list with Mel & Pressups. Mel and I share some good memories of the Hutt not forgetting good ole Bopo, and John Willets, plus the m2 Sgts. Garth Leveridge and Snow Donnell, not forgetting ole Jack Bailey. No summons served and he used to perform like a trained seal, plus that little ssssstutter he used to get into.
